Maple Ridge Municipal Election
Congratulations to all the Maple Ridge municipal candidates, both elected and not. The campaign has been a positive experience for me. I have enjoyed some great discussions about many Maple Ridge issues with voters and especially the other candidates. I can only remain positive about the long term future for Maple Ridge when I see the number of people from the community willing to put their names forward in an effort to make a difference.
Thank you to all my supporters. Although there were not as many of you as I would have liked, you are passionate and vocal in your support. That means a lot to me.
I feel good about having made a contribution toward increasing the profile of the need for safe cycling infrastructure in Maple Ridge. I plan to continue advocating for improvements through my role on the Maple Ridge/Pitt Meadows Bicycle Advisory Committee. I will wait a couple years before making a decision about whether I want to run for Maple Ridge Council again in the future.
