Haney Farmers’ Markets
This year, we have regularly been shopping at the Farmers’ Markets on Saturdays in Maple Ridge and Sundays in Pitt Meadows. The markets are a good source for local produce/products and an opportunity to socialize and get to know people in the community.
The vendors participating at the Market varies from week-to-week. To receive weekly e-mail notifications about who will be at the Farmers’ Market, sign up at My Markets News.
There are also numerous activities at the Farmers’ Market to entertain our kids (such as the Giant Chess Set, which has been a big hit).
The Markets continue until October 29th in Maple Ridge and September 11th in Pitt Meadows. There is also an indoor Autumn Market on November 5th and Winter Market on December 3rd at St. Andrew’s Haney United Church. You can find more information about dates, times, and locations on the Farmers’ Markets Web Site.
And just to mention a few highlights from our trips to the Markets: I have enjoyed the Salt Spring Coffee and Banana Bread from Big Feast while the kids like the Turner’s Place Lemonade; we picked up some Silly Soap creations which the kids have fun with at bath time; The Sizzlin’ Smokey Dogs hit the spot for lunch in Pitt Meadows; and I have feasted on Soup from Simply Delish Soup and Salad.
